Merry Bronchitis and something in your inbox!

We ran had to iron out some technical printing issues around the same time I caught a bout of bronchitis that sucked every bit of energy out of me.
We apologize for the resultant delays but KS supporters who are due the Cypher PDF should have a DriveThruRPG email in their inbox. Even better yet, those who have a KS pledge for books should have them on their way!
(And, yeah, shipping is still a killer in this industry if you were curious.)
What next? The next wave of deliverables will be those who pre-ordered Cypher system PDF discount links and Cypher System PDFs!
Stretch goals!
For 5e/Esper Genesis: We are doing some playtesting on these rules and so far, nothing is breaking except for the sanity of several PCs! We are aiming to have those rules in PDF/Discount POD links by Q1.
Next month we will start showing some familiar critters in these new rules!
The bonus Cypher PDF: This is getting a second pass. It will have more adventures, more monsters, and new locals for the MFP universe or any horror/modern cypher game – like abandoned malls and trailer parks.
Thank you again from the bottom of my hear for your patience and understanding during this crazy time of year.
Please enjoy your own holiday and the precious time you have with loved ones. And remember to keep it all organic this season with approved Anodyne products!

The printing proof came in the mail! We wanted to share the excitement of having the book in our hand, so we made a quick video!
The words, they fall out of my mouth
The dangers of an ad-libbed video is sometime you say the exact opposite of what you mean:
"Off the top of my head," means "staged."
"Retail," means "DriveThruRPG."
We will be send the spreadsheet to DriveThruRPG soon and closing the Backerkit pre-order on Monday.
Have great weekend!
One step closer. Hardcover proof is in the mail.

The printer's proof is on the way! Once approved, we will close Backerkit so we can deliver on the core phase of the KS. Next is the Cypher PDF stretch goal and the 5e version of the game!
Come down to the Gamehole!
If you are in Madison, Wisconsin, this weekend I’ll be running MFP game at Gamehole Con! Check the website for times and availability. I’ll also be hanging out at the Monte Cook Game lounge where you can pick up another Cypher System book I contributed to, the Diamond Throne!
Come hang out and enjoy some Cypher goodness.

The finish line is in sight! And 5e musings.

Sometimes the last 10% of a project takes “90%”
This is the final phase we are in as we have been adding additional final art and swatting the stubborn typos we find as we wrap up the Cypher PDF. Admittedly some of the slowdown has also been the “distraction” of our day jobs as well.
Honestly, I have discovered this is a KS phase where it is too tempting to put off an update because it feels like the finish line is just around the corner. It is easy to convince yourself if you wait a day or two, the update will be, “The Final PDF is here!” instead of just a recap. It is a vicious cycle, indeed.
Again, thank you all for your support and patience. It is appreciated more than you know.
Locking down pre-orders.
As a heads up, we will be locking down pre-order billings on Backerkit in the next two days so we can deliver the Pre-order Cypher System PDFs and POD Discount links soon.
“It should be fun first, match the Mystery Flesh Pit second.”- Trevor Roberts
As we enter into our design for the 5e version of mystery flesh pit National Park RPG, those words are our guiding light.
As you know, Cypher system and 5e have different design philosophies. For example, we were able to use Cypher’s Flavor mechanic to allow PBSO- Manifestations to be part of any PCs creation regardless of their Type. On the other hand, 5e doesn’t inherently provide such a straightforward solution.
There is another trick to game design, though. One can mesh game mechanics and a game setting by tweaking the setting or a campaign framework as well as modifying the rules. Eberron is a classic example.
Keeping that in mind, the 5e version may very likely become a parallel dimension to the Cypher System Mystery Flesh Pit National Park RPG. Time will tell.
